Example Classes for Beginners

Basic Knife Skills
Knife Skills Level 1 focuses on core skills required to use multiple knives in the kitchen effectively and efficiently. Focus is on the Classic Chef’s Knife and a Paring Knife. You will learn the structure of a knife, how to use a Honing Steel and more.

Kitchen & Food Safety
While Food Safety is only one class, it’s importance will be used thoughout the entire program. Understanding different cooking temperatures, the prevention of cross-contamination and learning about the major types of pathogens are only part of this course.
